A Story in Sand

A story from the heart as told in sand by Kseniya Simonova, a Ukrainian artist who just won Ukraine’s version of “America’s Got Talent.”

In the eight-and-a-half-minute clip, set to a moving dramatic score, Simonova deftly paints this cataclysmic struggle through constantly changing images using sand, a light table and a richly imbued imagination to render the German invasion of the Soviet Union during World War II.

It is breathtaking, exquisite and as fleeting as wind blown sand, which enhances this video capture all the more.

America’s Got Talent might consider raising the bar.
