Phoning In the New Yorker Cover

Admittedly, as a gadget-adversed traditionalist of the paint and canvas crowd, I was less than enthused upon hearing of an application wisely marketed as “Brush” for Apple’s iphone that was used in the creation of the current cover of the New Yorker magazine. I stand humbled and duly impressed.
The artist Jorge Colombo created this awe-inspiring masterpiece of the famed Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Times Square. Viewing the video of its reveal is well worth the fifty-one select seconds of your time-starved existence.

This is pretty exceptional. Hard to believe it was done on an iphone.
..and if I may, in the shrinking world of magazines, the “New Yorker” remains one of the best.
I couldn’t agree more.
