Pixar’s Mantra: Fail Fast
According to the head of their Motion Pictures Group, Michael B. Johnson, Pixar makes every film twice, first as a quick prototype, then as a fully realized film. “We’d much rather fail with a bunch of sketches that we did (relatively) quickly and cheaply, than once we’ve modeled, rigged, shaded, animated, and lit the film. ‘Fail fast,’ that’s the mantra.”[via link]
