Yves St. Laurent on Masculinity

Men’s fashion week got off to a strong start with Stefano Pilati’s video presentation for Yves Saint Laurent. Working with Colonel Blimp, the same team of London-based filmmakers with which he collaborated last season, Pilati explored “masculinity and psychoanalytic terms through film and its cinematic language.” The actor Jack Huston (nephew of Anjelica and grandson of John) was onscreen exploring different exposures of light and shadow, moving around with topless ballerinas and traversing visual landscapes charged with anatomical suggestions and figurations.
