Vinquire?

Wine’s traditionally organized by tons of stupidly specific categories you wouldn’t admit to being able to pronounce even if you could. Hunt for vino your way: Vinquire.

Vinquire’s a wide-ranging database that breaks things down in a manner commensurate with your lifestyle, stopping just short of listing “free jug juice at house party”. Just pop in the name of a wine, or leave that field blank and select any/all of the following no-brainer criteria: vintage, price range, color/effervescence (red, white, sparkling, etc), or, oddly enough, size, allowing you to preserve your rep as “Mr. 15,000mL”. Vinquire’ll then spit out matches, plus their ratings and retailers, from local joints (if you pop in your address) to online merchants; they also include price comparisons, letting you see if supporting local business is undermining your raging alcoholism. Vinquire also lets you set up a profile to save your purchases and catalog favorites, although this is in and of itself stupidly specific as, let’s face it, you’ll drink anything.

For real, they have $2 bottles of wine. Check it out at Vinquire.com. [via thrillist]
