Living on the Edge

Something called the “Devil’s Swimming Pool” ignited my interest and subsequent, disbelief, recently. Victoria Falls is the largest sheet of falling water in the world and lies on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. But the most fascinating aspect of Victoria Falls isn’t its sheer size, but its unusual shape, creating a tranquil rock pool right on the very edge of the falls that is virtually inches from a 360 foot drop. In other words, certain death. Nevertheless, the pool is so inviting, it attracts all manner of people, even those brave enough or insanely stupid enough to let their children accompany them for a swim.
