Body of War

Amy Goodman for truthdig reminds us of a grim milestone: 4,000 U.S. military members killed in Iraq since the invasion five years ago and goes on to report the making of a new feature documentary by legendary TV talk-show host Phil Donahue and filmmaker Ellen Spiro, called “Body of War.” The subject is a young soldier, Tomas Young, who was in Iraq only five days when he was seriously wounded on April 4, 2004 with injuries leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.
