NBCC’s Good Reads

LAST FALL, the NBCC (National Book Critics Circle) introduced a Best Recommended List. Taking advantage of the enormous connectivity of readers via the internet, they wanted to know what smart readers were reading and recommending to their friends, coworkers, family and spouses. Posing the question: “What 2007 books have you read that you have truly loved?” nearly 500 voters answered the call with recommendations.

With the arctic chill of winter underway and a new improved name “NBCC Good Reads” they have just released their winter list. From Annie Proulx to Jonathan Franzen you can check out the long lists in each category — fiction, nonfiction, and poetry – to see not only what people are reading, but what got multiple votes.
