The Tradition Lives On

Bernard Holland out of The New York Times makes an impassioned case for recognizing the best in us as a country, at least musically speaking, and it showcases itself in “row upon row of long legs and glittering teeth” in the annual Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall and the legendary Rockettes.

“The Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular” might bring a sneer to the world-weary, but also an unspoken sense of wonder that so many people could be making so many other people happy. It’s not the real world, you might say, but what we want to see…”

  1. ..without question the best lines in the article: “The Rockettes dance the American dream in wondrous synchrony – row upon row of long legs and glittering teeth. As an anti-depressant they could put Zoloft out of business.” Yes!
