SS Independence

Fascinating read and ghost-like images on the SS Independence, a 1950’s cruise ship that once hosted presidents, celebrities and royalty. Now retired and moored at Pier 70 in San Francisco, the fate of this maritime beauty remains unknown, although you can almost hear the laughter and the clinking of glasses in the deserted suites and on the eerily intact decks.There is much to read, learn and look at here including images of the Independence in her glory days sailing into New York harbor in the 1950’s.
