Russian Decadence Bond Could Love

If James Bond were to swagger into Harvey Nichol’s newly refurbished Fifth Floor Bar he may find himself both shaken and stirred. To celebrate its fifteenth year of utter fabulousness, the bar has teamed up with Russian Vodka brand Stolichnaya to create a delicious infusion range, including such delights as the Chocolate & Pepper Martini and the ultra indulgent Cherry Caviar Martini, a world apart from Bond’s favoured tipple. Harvey Nichols has long been renowned as a champion of innovation, often backing lesser-known fashion brands, so it should come as no surprise that it is now extending such foresight to create the ultimate drinking experience. For not only does the sleek contemporary bar house one of the longest cocktail menus we have ever seen, if there is nothing that takes your fancy you can take full advantage of their ingenious bespoke service.

Under the creative direction of mixology guru Nick Strangeway, a range of infusion methods - from the more traditional elbow grease technique to high-tech rotary evaporation - have been employed to create a uniquely personalised drinking experience, whereby drinkers can have their own ingredients incorporated into their beverage.

Accessible glamour and iconic Russian elements have been combined to create a modern constructivist look for Fifth Floor Bar, which is both striking and inviting. Lounge at the signature circular bar with it’s very own Tatlin Tower or, for a truly gastronomic experience, head to the striking red glass pod that serves as a private toasting room, a homage to the Russian tradition of enjoying food and vodka together.
