The Jeu de Paume in the Tuileries Gardens has organized what may be the biggest Steichen show ever — 400 vintage prints from all periods of Edward Steichen’s long life according to Jorg von Uthmann of Bloomberg.

Steichen’s portraits of J.P. Morgan, Greta Garbo and Gloria Swanson dazzle at the Paris Show “It’s perhaps no accident that the most impressive of the portraits at the Jeu de Paume is the visibly irritated, almost demonic J.P. Morgan from 1903, not Greta Garbo, Gloria Swanson or the other glitterati from the 1920s and 1930s.”
