Dumbledore: A Lovely Outing
There’s been a great deal of jabbering over J.K. Rowling’s revelation this past week that Dumbledore, beloved Hogwarts headmaster in the Harry Potter series is gay. Mark Harris of Entertertainment Weekly argues that Rowling’s “lovely outing” is a rare positive sign at a particularly bad moment; “a challenge to look at the world — even a world of magic — as it really is.”
