Central Park’s Bethesda Terrace

After more than a century of neglect, under the guidance of the Central Park Conservancy, the newly renovated Bethesda Terrace in Manhattan’s Central Park restores Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux’s vision of an uplifting focal point for their masterpiece.

Above - The arcade opens to the Angel of the Waters fountain, designed by Emma Stebbins and unveiled in 1873.
